I have been teaching at Roosevelt since 2007, but have been teaching in Saint Paul since 1997. I started out as an EBD teacher which I loved doing for two years. I then transferred to Open School where I taught 6th grade for 7 years. After my seventh year I took a year off to stay at home with my son, and luckily for me I was placed at Roosevelt this last year. My favorite subjects to teach are reading and art, and I make it a point to incorporate art into as many subjects as I can. When I am not teaching I keep busy working on my art, playing soccer, running and even skateboarding when I have a chance. Teaching is something I was born to do, and I look forward to each fall to see who is going to be in my classroom for the year.
