Welcome, my name is Karl Karau, I teach 4th grade at Roosevelt “School of Excellence” Elementary! This is my second year as a full-time educator in the classroom setting. Prior to Roosevelt Elementary, I received my teaching degree at Concordia University St. Paul, then was able to have the opportunity to be introduced to other wonderful students and staff at schools with-in the Saint Paul School District as a substitute teacher. I have been working with students in our district for 5 years.
I believe that in life it is important to set personal goals and to create a Personal Mission Statement for what you stand for. I also do that as a educator of our students. My Personal Mission Statement for my classroom is “To create a safe, friendly, and responsible classroom environment where learning takes place.” I enjoy the opportunity of introducing myself to the many different faces in our community and hope to get the chance to improve the communication with the parents of our “Roosevelt students”.
A personal fact about myself is I enjoy the outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking, and playing with my family and children!
