I'm Keren Lebrón.  I am the ELL teacher for third grade at Roosevelt Elementary.  I earned my teaching degree in ELL from the University of Puerto Rico and started teaching in Saint Paul Public Schools in 2001.

I work in collaboration with the third grade classroom teachers to enhance language learning for all students.  I work with Ms. Kreidler, Mrs. Thomas, Ms. Wainio and Mrs. Kour.

I enjoy working with all students improving language skills.  I believe language learning should be active and fun and an integral part of everyday life.

During the Spring of 2009 my SFA Reading group has started a new podcast, The Super Vocabulary Fans Podcast.  Check it out!  My Summer School Class also created a video series The Student Guide to Third Grade.  Hope you find these useful.

The Student Guide to Third Grade Video Series
This is a video guide created by exiting third graders to help the new third grade generation meet the challenges it presents.
 Accountable Talk Videocast
What is Accountable Talk? Why is it important? How do third graders use it? Watch this video and learn all about it!

 The Traffic Game
Learn a fun game you can play as a morning meeting activity. Each student will need to work with a partner for this game.

 Walking in the Hallways
The students will show you how to walk in our school hallways and stairs.

 The Wave Game
This game is a favorite of Ms. Fox's class and Ms. Lebrón's Summer School class during morning meetings. It's a great game for parties too.

 Collecting and Using Data
Do graphs, medians and ranges have you all confused? In this podcast the students will show you how to collect data as well as create a graph and find the minimum, maximum, range, median, mean and mode.

 Math Skills
Watch the students in action as they demonstrate how to complete Frames and Arrows, What's My Rule? and Lattice Multiplication.
